We have a New Priest-in-Charge!

Wonderful news! Our new Priest-in-Charge of the Four Rivers Benefice, Reverend Enid Pow, was licensed in a special service by Bishop Mike, Bishop of Dunwich, at Wilby Church on Thursday 23rd February 2023.

Revd Enid with Bishop Mike and churchwardens

Revd Enid, whose parishes include Bedfield, Brundish, Cratfield, Laxfield, Monk Soham, Tanningon, Wilby and Worlingworth with Southolt, has recently returned to the UK after her last incumbency as Mission Priest in the Community of Kuujjuaq, The Arctic, Anglican Church of Canada.

The post in the Four Rivers Benefice is a venture between the benefice and Lightwave, Suffolk's fresh expressions church organisation, which means that she will have a specific mission focus to her ministry here. Revd Enid is very much looking forward to meeting with both the churches and the various community groups.

Revd Enid will live in Laxfield and her contact details are 01986 743093 or click here to email Revd Enid

Be a Responsible Dog Owner – Please!

The Parish Council does not ban dogs from the playing field lightly, it is for everyone's SAFETY.

Dog owners - please clear up after your four-legged friend and either take it home to dispose of or use one of the five designated dog poo bins which are located around the village and paid for out of your council tax.

Please, Please, Please do NOT bag-up your dog poo and then chuck the full dog poo bag just anywhere – whether it be on the pavement, on the roadside, in a ditch or in a field or a hedge. Please take your dog poo bags home or place into a designated dog poo bin.
