Further to our initial email back in October last year, introducing you
to our new Rural Connect service available to residents of Laxfield, we
are looking to utilise this service by offering a regular run to a
chosen destination (Eye, Diss, Debenham, Framlingham or to be agreed) to
access local amenities for shopping etc.
Our vehicle has the capacity to take 4 passengers at a time, or 1
wheelchair and 2 seated passengers. Multi occupancy is a key
requirement of Mid Suffolk District Council, who funded this new
service, helping to reduce carbon emissions.
Anyone wishing to use this service would need to book their place by
calling our booking line, but this can become a regular way for small
groups of local people connecting with other communities, using our
friendly, reliable transport service.
Fare prices are based on each way, per person:
* 1 to 4 miles - £ 3.00
* 5 to 7 miles - £ 4.50
* 8 to 10 miles - £ 6.50
* 11 to 13 miles - £8.00
* 14 to 16 miles - £10.00
* 17 to 20 miles - £ 12.00
Bookings are made via our booking line 01449 614271 or e-mail
Click here to email the Bookings team and can only be made up to 2 weeks
in advance, to ensure fairness to passengers.
Travel vouchers will be accepted
Payment is made by 'Tap & Go/Chip & Pin' card machines or travel
vouchers, as you travel.
Fare prices will increase from 1st April 2025.

The Parish Council does not ban dogs from the playing field lightly, it is for everyone's SAFETY.
Dog owners - please clear up after your four-legged friend and either take it home to dispose of or use one of the five designated dog poo bins which are located around the village and paid for out of your council tax.
Please, Please, Please do NOT bag-up your dog poo and then chuck the full dog poo bag just anywhere – whether it be on the pavement, on the roadside, in a ditch or in a field or a hedge. Please take your dog poo bags home or place into a designated dog poo bin.
