Message from Simon Green - our Community Support Officer regarding bicycle security marking...
As the Halesworth Community Engagement Officer, I’ve been working with PCSO colleagues from the Safer Neighbourhood Team over the past three weeks, visiting supermarkets in our area. We’ve set up our mobile police station in store car-parks, so we can maintain social distancing and offered a free bicycle security marking service and been discussing various policing topics, including crime reduction advice.
These have proven very successful, with tens of bikes security marked.
So far, we’ve been to Eye, Debenham, Framlingham and Aldeburgh.
Tomorrow (Friday, July 10th) we shall be outside the village store in Stradbroke between 10am & 12pm, then onto Laxfield outside the Co-op between 1pm & 3pm.
We’ll then be at the Co-op at Leiston on the 15th of July & the Green at Thorpeness on the 20th of July. Bring your bike along and have it marked or come along for just a discussion about local policing. We look forward to seeing you.
Until next time!
